What sets Fu Kee Express apart is not just the food but the experience. As Rob Woods succinctly put it, "this is it." Patrons enjoy generous portions at reasonable prices, complemented by fast and friendly service. The flavor profile of dishes like Szechuan Hunan Beef and the perfectly cooked Chicken Lo Mein ($15.95) will transport you to culinary bliss. R H reminisces about enjoying the same dishes for two decades, reflecting the restaurant's consistency and commitment to quality.
However, don’t be surprised if the owner becomes overwhelmed during peak hours. As many customers have shared, it's a one-man show, and the experience is best enjoyed during lunch when the chef can give each order the attention it deserves. Make sure to place your orders in advance, as dinner rushes can be quite hectic. Patience is a virtue in this township favorite!
In summary, Fu Kee Express isn’t just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey where passion meets palate. If you're searching for the best Chinese food around, let your taste buds explore this Raleigh treasure. With exceptional food and a personable owner, Fu Kee Express is not only where to eat, but where to create joyful dining memories.

We got dinner last night here for the first time. Wanted good Chinese food & after reading the reviews we had to try it. General Tso’s Chicken, Mild, White Rice, No Broccoli was the best I’ve ever had. No stringy pieces of chicken. Delicious sauce. Sweet & Sour Chicken with Fried Rice was delicious. Chicken was not overly breaded & the sauce was delicious. Crab Meat Rangoons were delicious & huge (it came with 6 but I only took a picture of 3). Lots of creamy filling. It is a one man show like the other reviews say & totally worth it. We did spend 50 with tip.

We have been looking for a Chinese place in North Raleigh for sometime now, and this is it. Perfect American style Chinese food, huge portions, with a great value, delicious flavor, fast service, and the gentleman who is working there is stellar and working harder than I’ve ever seen anyone work in a restaurant before. I would include pictures, but we ate every damn bite before I could even think about it. Our new spot.

When I moved to Raleigh about 20 years ago, this was the 1st Chinese restaurant I found. Covid changed it to takeout only. BUT still as good! We had the Hunan Beef, egg rolls and fried dumplings. Excellent meal. Owner (one man show) is still friendly.

There are dozens of takeout Chinese restaurants in this area. Not one of them comes close to delivering what Fu Kee Express does. Quality food with great flavor, made more impressive given its the fact the owner is a one man show. He puts pride on n his work and it is present in every bite. 10/10

Best Chinese in Raleigh. One man show, one very funny guy runs the whole thing. It’s so good that you won’t be able to order during dinner, good luck. Go in to order or try to call during lunch. Let the phone ring for a minute, he won’t answer right away because he’s busy cooking.

As everyone said, the owner works solo and prefers you come at lunchtime bc dinner is quite busy for him. Excellent quality! I had sesame chicken, chinese vegetables and fluffy white rice. He is quick and kind, and the dishes are never too greasy. The food is always hot and fresh.

Best Chinese in the Raleigh area! Reminds me of the Chinese food in the northeast. Both the food and owner are equally excellent in their own ways. I would maybe say it’s some of the best I’ve had in my life. The owner is personable and always makes it feel like you’re picking it up from his home. He does it all by himself. Always impressed

Firstly. He is a one man show!! Cooking, taking orders, cashing out all him. Food is good! Be sure to call in your order. First call first service. Once he is too busy he will not answer so keep that in mind. If you have patients go if you want to be waiting on hand and foot. Kick rocks
